The real answer is that males develop differently in the womb than girls.
Think of brain development as a straight line. While females’ brains move along this straight line without interruption, boys have a lot of zig-zags.
At about 6 weeks after conception, boys’ brains are flooded with male hormones that cause the zig-zags. If the brain “overshoots a street”, there’s no making a U turn. The brain continues on a course that leads to ADHD, dyslexia, language processing disorders and learning disabilities.
Boys are frequently larger at birth and more difficult to deliver. Be aware of the potential difficulties your son may have just because he’s a boy!
