If you have a depressed family member or friend, secure your guns.
- 11% of Americans will have major depressive disorder during their teens.
- 3% will suffer from very severe depression.
Don’t make it easier for them to hurt themselves.
Teenagers, with their immature brains and ridiculously poor impulse control, might just see that gun as a solution to their problems.
They live in the moment, struggle to see past their noses and their emotions are so painfully intense that escape is all they’re looking for.
Don’t give them the chance to make a permanent mistake.
Monitor your teens intensely.
Lock up your guns and booze. If you see behaviors that make you ask yourself, “What’s going on?’, then get help right away.
