Many men struggle with coming up with gift ideas for all kinds of events. Mother’s Day, birthdays, anniversaries, all of them create unnecessary anxiety. Every year, it’s the same story. You don’t get what you want and the skirmishes begin.
Recognize that men don’t always pay attention to the things we buy, make comments about or express a desire to have.
We women just talk so much that some of the critical information “gets lost” in the volumes we speak daily.
If gift-giving is interfering with your relationship, it’s time to shift gears. Sit down and have an honest conversation about how to get this done.
Maybe you exchange lists outlining specifically want you want.
Many items can be bought online. No one has to go to a store, except to buy the card. The online Papyrus store has gorgeous cards that are gifts in themselves. I love the quilling cards. Super delicate, thin strips of paper create magnificent works of art.
Still, reminders may help. Ask him to go pick up the prescription and gee, Mother’s Day is coming up.
Nothing breeds success like success.
