Got junk food in your kitchen? Got achy joints and osteoarthritis? That junk food is making your joints hurt more. Dump it!
Cartilage deteriorates faster, especially in the hips and knees, when you have a high-fat, high carbohydrate diet. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint condition and isn’t as much related to wear and tear as it is to diet.
Fatty acid deposits in the cartilage change its metabolism, weaken it and make it prone to damage. Then, you’ve got pain.
Even the bones themselves underneath the cartilage are changed by a diet high in saturated fats.
The anti-inflammatory diet is best for rheumatoid arthritis, which is an autoimmune disorder.
If you have osteoarthritis, alter your diet to reduce your risk. Begin with small changes as they lead to the most lasting progress.
Eat better, feel better!
