Answering your questions, of course, so here are some of the references and resources I wanted you to have based on your concerns.
For those of you unfamiliar with textured implants, they have a "sandpaper"-like coating that helps them to stay in place.
The FDA has seen the error of their ways in notifying only plastic surgeons when, in reality, once the lumps, the pain and swelling begin around the breasts, women see their primary care physician or their ob/gyn. Now, the FDA is notifying all doctors.
Nearly 400,000 women a year get breast implants and so far, there are 457 likely cases of this cancer (since 2010) and 9 of these patients have died. It is considered to be rare, but since many doctors were unaware of the connection, the statistics are likely underestimations.
Along with breast implant syndrome and the lifetime costs of replacing the implants every few years, there is another serious element to consider--lymphoma.

I recommended that she have, at the ready, a list of 3 board-certified child and adolescent and adult psychiatrists to help him. Why? Because they're the ones who, in my experience, appreciate the catastrophic consequences of ADHD over the lifespan if it's left untreated.
I asked her to look into support services for them as adults coping with this condition. Here's a valuable resource for anyone looking for help for ADHD.
In terms of executive functioning deficits, here's what you need to know right now.
I counseled her on several of the issues and recommended that she go to the Council of Parent Advocates and Attorneys, Inc. website to find an attorney in her area who works on contingency. S/He'll only take the case if they think it's solid enough to win. When they win (hopefully!), the district will pay the legal fees.
Knowing that school districts get their funds to fight you by using your own tax dollars should put some fire into you. Imagine that! If you robbed a gas station, you'd get an attorney, free of charge, using your tax dollars to protect your rights, but you and your kid have to go it alone.
There's something really, really wrong with this system!!!
Have a great week! See you next time on the radio!
