As for you, check with your doctor before using any product because you may not have allergies, but something else requiring a doctor's care. Be careful out there!
Nancy asked a question about other treatments for depression because her medication isn't working and she's "tried them all". I asked her to talk with her doctor about Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation to get some relief.
Since serotonin, the body's naturally-occurring antidepressant, is made, partly by bacteria in the gut (intestine), she might benefit from seeing a gastroenterologist to make certain that she has the level of diversity and a healthy amount of bacteria in her digestive system. Of course, she needs to consult with her physician first.
As well, there are many medications that can cause or deepen depression and she needs to share all medications and herbal supplements/vitamins with her psychiatrist to make sure no interactions are occurring.
I hope her psychiatrist and general physician recommend that she exercise and maintain a healthy diet.
Because of her age, Nancy may be experiencing peri-menopause which may be impacting her. It's wise to talk with her ob/gyn.
