Potty training topic:
- One process at a time. Bladder train and once your child is confident, move onto bowel training.
- You need to spend a large chunk of time to "catch" them needing to use the toilet. You'll need a whole day or an afternoon into early evening.
- Be mindful of your reactions. Our kids live for our responses. Be mild about your positive reactions (encouraging, not jumping up and down) and show signs of frustration, disappointment or disapproval. Those negative responses can be anxiety provoking and erase any progress you've made. No one improves their performance under the influence of anxiety, especially kids.
- Girls train faster than boys, at about age 2-2.5 years and boys, at about age 2.5-3 years. There's a broad range of variability here, so take these ages ranges with a grain of salt. If your child takes longer, than that's how it goes. This process cannot be rushed and frankly, the kids are in charge.
Sunflower Blooming Baby Bath. This is the original product! Put the sunflower in your sink, nestle baby into it and bathe away. This is a one-size fits all baby bath product. I wish I'd had this when it was our turn. No more nasty plastic bathers or tons of towels in the sink or on the floor. Ugh.
