Go ahead, I dare you. Try to explain how delicious something tastes, describe the sound of beautiful music or how you feel about your children. I dare you to capture these emotions with words.
Words just don’t seem to “cover it all”, do they? Let’s face it, the heart speaks a language all its own.
What do we do instead of talking about these emotions when we truly want to convey them?
Don’t just stand there, do something. It’s a powerful message of real love when you act on your feelings. Remember that “talk is cheap”.
Think about your sister and her three little kids. Give her a break. Take the kids for an afternoon so she can go grocery shopping by herself or take a shower without an audience.
Look around and see what you can do for your family and friends. It will be the case that what you get in return in much greater than what you give.
Teach your kids about random acts of kindness. Those are the true gifts in life.
