There’s no such thing as healing this kind of situation. All you can do is learn to cope”. You can heal a body, but there are scars.
Healing a broken heart, a devastated soul is a different story. We now know that a broken heart is physically painful. Grief is physically painful. The only way through it is to do it.
You have to do the time so that the edges are a little less ragged and so that more meaningful events can come into view and life doesn’t seem so devastated.
You have to keep going until the sun comes up and a couple of flowers bloom and a butterfly or two zips past you and suddenly, life isn’t as bleak as it felt last week.
Is that hope I see popping up? Possibly, but don’t even think that you’ll heal. You can’t rewind life no matter how many times you hit that button. Give yourself credit for coping with it all until you can breathe again. Until you can live again.
