A whopping 36,250,000 school age kids participate in organized sports.
Take into consideration the practices, the games, the homework, perhaps going to a tutor or other specialists if there are learning problems, how does all of this get done? It depends on their age.
In elementary school, it’s a lot easier than middle or high school.
The homework demands in middle school are intense. With six classes and homework for each one, it’s tough to fit in sports or other activities.
When kids move into high school, academics cannot be overlooked in any way because their grades will likely dictate the kind of college they attend. What to do? It’s about balance.
They need reading, writing and math competence to make it through life. If your kid isn’t headed to the NFL, then sports may have to be recreational.
Time for your teenager to make those adult decisions.
