A new study found that a natural compound in cocoa, tea and some veggies can reverse age-related memory loss. A compound called flavanols improve the connections between brain cells by increasing blood flow.
Because flavanols are seen in very tiny amounts in the chocolate, you’d have to gorge on it in order to see a real difference.
Eating all of this chocolate might make you happy, but it will also make you fat!
As we age, we have more naturally-occurring memory loss and to offset that loss, we need to improve our diets and increase exercise. Keep up with your kids!! Keeping the mind busy improves memory.
Memory-related games and activities that cause us to use critical thinking and strategy skills enhance memory as we age.
Don’t wait until you start seeing signs of memory decline. Work crossword puzzles everyday or learn a new language. Spark your memory!
