Why is sugar connected to cancer? Mostly because of sugar’s relationship to obesity and obesity’s relationship to cancer.
And don’t think that if your sugar is coming from fruit juice and not sodas that it’s healthier because it isn’t. The recommendation from the latest research says that you don’t have to eliminate sugary drinks altogether, but limit to less than one a day. Kids should not have undiluted fruit juice before the age of 1 year.
Don’t think one giant glass of soda is fine because it isn’t.
It’s not just about the amount of sugar, but the effects of sugar on the fat around vital organs, wildly fluctuating blood sugar levels and the increase in inflammation. All of these are factors in the development of cancer.
