Is there something in your life that’s valuable to you, but you’re accepting a discount on it?
What about the affection and attention of those you love?
Do you find yourself being more available and supportive than others are to you? You’re there for them, but they’re not for you.
At some point in our lives, we start to think about the time we have left instead of the time we’ve lived.
You know that when you have little money, you have to spend it wisely. Reach out to someone who’d like to hear from you. Take the time to play another game of Connect Four or read that book for the millionth time.
Love makes you healthy. It releases oxytocin and it makes you feel good.
The benefits of being loved run neck-and-neck with loving others. It’s never perfectly balanced, so don’t be an emotional accountant.
Take what you get and give what you can. If you’re angry about it, talk to them. Most some people are doing the best they can.
