Every single one of us knows that all dogs go to heaven just like the movie said. They are magical. They help us and heal us and make us talk to them like we're whacky and it's all good.
Now, we know that they can sniff out cancer, tell us when we're about to have a diabetic episode, calm us when we have anxiety, protect us at home and in war and they only ask for love and care in return.
There are many decisions to make before getting a dog. A puppy? An older dog? What breed? Which family member will be the primary caregiver? What are the needs of the dog? Lots of exercise? A calm cuddler? What's the family's personality? Will the dog be left alone all day while everyone is at work/school? Do you have space for a dog?
