Exercise calms circuits of the brain that are excitable. These circuits lead to anxiety.
People who believe that stress is negatively affecting their lives have double the heart attack risks when compared to others.
By exercising and discharging the physical energy created by tension, heart and brain health are improved.
Start small. Just walk around the block or even up and down your street for 20 minutes a day.
Be aware that if you experience periods of stress, you’re likely to revert back to your couch-potato status, so resist that temptation and keep walking.
Build your stamina and your resistance to illness and improve your cognitive functioning. You’ll feel better and be a better parent!
