My own mother explained that parents aren’t really parents, after all, but farmers. She said, “We plant seeds and hope they take. When the harvest comes in, we throw more seeds around and hope they take root”. The “seeds” she was talking about were life’s lessons.
Failures are people who try. They take risks and when they fail, they get up, dust themselves off and keep going.
Losers are those people who complain about their lives, blame others, take no responsibility and worst of all, take no chances. They’re so afraid of failure, they’re paralyzed.
Basically, mom was saying, “Failure or loser?, Rebecca, your decision.
Don't leave them to figure this out for themselves. Help them along with this lesson. The sooner they make the decision, the more chances they have to "correct their course".
It's tough, but worth it. Claudia
