Have you heard that term, “fat and happy”? Well, it’s true if you’re in love.
If you’ve gained weight since you first got together, it’s a good sign because the couples who are slim are more likely to separate. Uh oh!
Recent studies revealed that if a couple is satisfied with their relationship, they gain weight. Those extra pounds around the middle have legitimately earned their nickname of “love handles”.
People in stable, happy relationships aren’t in the market for another mate, so they don’t need to impress them anymore.
Those slim couples may be hedging their bets and need to stay in “marketable” condition, so to speak.
There’s a caution here. Couples need to pay attention to their weight gain which can lead to significant health consequences related to diabetes and heart disease.
In terms of the “fat and happy” saying, let’s focus more on the happy, than the fat part.
