I've got to find some kids to make a Hydraulic Claw or this Trebuchet pictured here. I'm thinking "Pumpkin Chunkin'", but in reality, these were medieval weapons of war! You could go off on a tangent and learn about the various trebuchets and how they were used in battle for your history buffs!
Tinker Crate was designed by a mom who, I'm thinking, was always "on the go" looking for materials and projects to keep those busy minds in her home "happily tinkering"! I learned that one of their advisors is a retired Professor of Science Education at Stanford. What a great way to spend retirement?
You know how I persist with saying that your child needs to develop the HOTS? Those Higher Order Thinking Skills were developed by Bloom and were recently revised and are called Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. It was decided that Creativity should be on the top! Well, of course it should!

There are crates for all ages. The Koala Crate is for 3-4 year olds. The Kiwi Crate is for 5-8 year olds. The Doodle Crate is for art and design themes for 9-16+ year olds and the Tinker Crate is science and engineering focused for kids 9-16+.
Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math...STEAM...yep, give some STEAM to your child and watch their minds grow!
Oh, just you have yourself some fun right now! TTFN, Claudia
