There are checklists for different kinds of preparedness and a great many resources.
Make sure your child is prepared for a disaster or emergency. Don't think it won't happen to you.
Make a plan to get ready! Reserve a weekend to gather up your supplies. Consider a "go bag" or other "exit strategies".
The Red Cross has a great list of "what to take" and how to prepare. You can't live with the consequences of being unprepared in the chaos of an earthquake. There's no safe place to be in the world! Weather or other nature-based events are everywhere!
Yes, yes I know it's another thing to take up space in your brain, but be the adult and just do it!
