It’s true. If you see a glass as being half-full instead of half-empty, you’re an optimist. Not only are you a positive person, but you’re more competitive, patient and assertive than the half-empty crowd.
The optimistic folks are also more likely to be extroverted, playful and practical. They have 11 “better than average” days a month. When they fall, they bounce back because they usually find a silver lining.
Now, those half-empty folks have some positive features, too. They’re more laid-back and introverted, but they’re also more rebellious than the average person. Pessimists are more serious and sentimental than optimists. They have 9 “better than average” days a month.
They don’t think of themselves as pessimists. They think they’re optimistic.
Want to see the glass as half-full? Focus on having more positive thoughts every day. You get good at what you practice.
