Noise is linked to many health problems including pregnancy complications, premature birth and congenital deformities. Now, it’s learned that too much noise at night negatively impacts a man’s fertility.
Earlier studies on animals proved that noise has an effect on male fertility, but this latest study concludes that excessive noise, especially at nighttime, can render a man infertile. Other factors in the participants’ lives could not better account for the condition.
The researchers indicated that long-term exposure, about four years, to excessive noise at night is damaging to human fertility.
The rapid decline in men’s sperm in the twentieth century due to environmental pollution is a serious concern.
If you’re a man with fertility issues, talk with your doctor and take action to reduce its impact on your health.
