Twenty-one hundred participants and their families have enjoyed the Wings for Autism program that holds events at seventeen airports across the country.
The program offers an “airport rehearsal” so these special passengers can become familiar with the sights, sounds and activities of flying.
Those with disabilities frequently experience sensory problems that make such an active environment intolerable. Learning how they will respond in that setting will help you to prepare.
TSA also provides a support specialist for those flyers who need extra help getting through security.
If you want to know more, go online at “TSA supports Wings for Autism”. Contact information about services and events are on that site.
