You men don’t think you can develop weak bones because it’s a girl thing, but osteopenia is on the rise in you guys ages 35 to 50. In fact, more middle-aged men have osteopenia than women at this point.
What’s osteopenia? It’s a low level of bone minerals and it can lead to osteoporosis which is dangerous because of the risk of fracture.
Osteoporosis makes bones thinner causing stooped posture, pain, and problems with moving around.
Osteoporosis runs in families, but lifestyles such as smoking, drinking, poor diet, being overweight and inactivity, as well as taking certain medications, including steroids, have an impact.
Low testosterone is also a risk factor. Talk with your doctor. Get a bone density study which is painless and fast. Get in front of this condition so that you can enjoy your life!
