Anger management class. What a joke. It doesn’t work because people have a neurological or psychological hair trigger for that rage.
The ultimate consequence of being a rage-a-holic? Death.
Angry people were much more likely to die than those who know how to keep their cool. Why?
There are a number of factors linking stress to physical damage including the frequent release of adrenaline, a stress hormone, that leads to life-threatening illnesses such as multiple sclerosis.
Grumpy people don’t sleep well because they just don’t relax long enough.
Anger causes headaches, makes you anxious and depressed, causes you to get sick more often and actually makes you vulnerable to lung and heart diseases.
And, if that’s not enough, it makes you look old. Chronic stress and anger reduces the amount of the hormone necessary to make collagen which gives you that youthful look.
