If you practice leaving things undone, that will become your habit. What will happen then?
- You’ll define yourself as a person who doesn’t get the job done.
- You’ll teach others they can’t count on you to finish anything. You don’t want this.
Practice finishing the little things. Train yourself to complete the smallest tasks by developing a plan for each one.
Success breeds success and once you experience the satisfaction that task completion brings, you’ll be less likely to avoid those tedious chores. What will happen then?
- You’ll feel more confident, competent and whole.
- You’ll have less anxiety and more self-respect.
The bottom line is that you’ll define yourself as responsible and you’ll train others to think of you that way, too.
