A Momma is concerned about her 14-year old daughter's response to her close friend being diagnosed with cancer. She may be experiencing Illness Anxiety Disorder which was formerly known as "Hypochondriasis", but the new name focuses on the primary symptom of anxiety which then erupts into obsessive thinking and compulsive behaviors to combat the intrusive and unwanted, repetitive thoughts.
