The problem is that their two children, ages 27 and 30, are not being allowed to see him. Even his parents have been forbidden to see him. His wife will not allow anyone to see him.
Vicky Lynn wanted to know if "anything" could be done.
The short and long answers are "no", not unless your state has passed the Kasem Cares Visitation Bill or similar legislation. The bill was created by the daughter of America's Top 40 Countdown DJ, Casey Kasem, after she and other family members were blocked from seeing her famous Father (caps intended). There was an 8-month court trial to make decisions about these issues.
Check with a family lawyer to determine if you have any rights.
For the rest of us, this is a wake up call to make sure that if your marriage ends and you've had children together, both of you need to write down to whom heirloom and personal property should go.
But, don't stop there. Each of you needs to have a will outlining end of life visitation and care so that any new spouses cannot stop your children or family and friends from being with you.
You simply cannot trust others to do what is right. So many people are wearing masks.
I talked to her about the growth "trajectory" and what to expect. I gave her recommendations on how to prepare her daughter for the coming school year and for life in general, as she is likely to be taller than other women around her as she ages.
Research indicates that taller women are perceived very positively. I referred her to this blog post so she has knowledge about the physical development of both males and females.
