He was brutally bullied by a group of mean girls and his teacher was gut kicked over it and decided to put the story on social media so that he could get the love and support of others.
Well, little did she know that the University of Tennessee would see the story, send him a huge box of Vols swag and create a t-shirt from his design. I have mine...go to this link and read all about it and get a shirt of your own to fund their anti-bullying effort.
The story doesn't end there. If he qualifies for admission and wants to attend UT, he's got a full-ride scholarship waiting for him...tuition and fees paid for! Love, love, love it!
He's been diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD and is being treated for both, but there's only so much that medication and educational support can do. When he goes to 6th grade, he'll have 6 teachers and a TON of homework.
Dad asked, "What can I do to help him be successful there?" (9-13)
A Mom also wrote in about her son's upsettedness spending hours doing his homework because he works so slowly. He also has ADHD. (9-12)
Both of these boys need a thorough evaluation to help determine just what is going on so that the school can craft a plan to help them and parents can supplement services to be confident in the approach.
