A study lasting sixty-three years followed kids who were fourteen until they were seventy-seven and found that personalities do change.
In adolescence, we’re more irritable and impulsive than we are when we’re older.
As teens, we’re social, but as we age, we enjoy solitude.
Are we just getting tired and fed up with the world and find it safer just to be at home?
When we’re older, we’re more accepting of ourselves and understand others better. Our mood and level of conscientiousness are stable. These features may be hardwired from infancy.
The good news is that we can change. So sit a spell and figure out where you need to improve. Basically, check yourself before you wreck yourself.
