The beach is magical. As it turns out, it’s healthy.
The sounds of the waves and the fresh smells of the ocean, known as “blue space”, create a sense of peace and tranquility in your brain. It’s quite hypnotic.
Your brain reacts to blue space in such a way that makes you happy, relaxed and re-energized. The naturally occurring ions relax you even if you don’t go in the water.
Blue space gives you the chance to clear your mind and allows you to tune out and reflect on the things you’ve needed to focus on. The combination of sights and smells creates a sense of well-being which reduces depression.
Getting away from the chaos of daily life also chases away the anxiety that contributes to depression.
When you go to the beach, you not only see different things, but your perspective changes.
Go to the beach, splash in the water, calm your mind and heal your soul.
